What customers say?

“ First time at this restaurant after a beautiful nature walk with my wonderful family...very quiet place...parking a few steps away for both cars and campers...you can eat inside or outside. We chose some appetizers and first courses, all very good. Fair and honest prices...very kind and friendly staff...I recommend it. Also, I recommend booking a few days in advance; you might not get a table when you go up. I forgot: before you leave, ask to try some good liqueurs like Camomillo or Maria Luigia. You won't regret it...See you next time... ”

“ The place is really beautiful, inserted in a natural context without spoiling it, but not lacking any comfort! Sabrina is nothing short of welcoming, friendly and professional at the same time, Luca is a good and attentive chef, the raw materials are of quality with an eye on the regional territory. The wine and beer list is also exceptional, and Sabrina will always be able to give you advice on what to pair with your culinary choices! I tried the cold cuts, the first courses and a sliced steak that was nothing short of fabulous! Everything was DELICIOUS!!!! Super happy! ”

“ The Monte Fuso refuge restaurant, managed by Sabrina and Luca, has been under new management for about a year. Welcoming staff. Good first and second courses...and excellent homemade desserts. Prices are reasonable. Recommended. ”

“ We went to the Rifugio for a couples dinner for a special occasion. We already knew the place, and our high expectations were met, as always! Starting with the appetizers of cured meats and a selection of cheeses accompanied by wild mustard, lavender honey, and quince jam, all artisanal...incredible! Next up were gnocchi with parmesan and turmeric fondue, and truly delicious pappardelle with venison ragù! Then came the sliced rump steak and the roast beef, both excellent. All accompanied by an excellent organic still red wine recommended by Sabrina, who, as always, is knowledgeable and expert in suggesting the right food and drink pairings. To finish, a perfectly made sbrisolona accompanied by a "Muffato" passito wine, recommended by them, rounded off our dinner in style. The service was excellent and precise, with a smile always present. The location also deserves praise as it is welcoming and very well-maintained. The quality/price ratio was fair. A 10/10 for Luca and Sabrina! ADVISED! ”

“ Monte Fuso Refuge... here we have crossed the border into the province of Parma... arriving in the Scurano area, this beautiful refuge is open from the morning... and closes at 5:30 pm... I tell you... that this is the ideal place to spend beautiful days in full relaxation, together with kind and always helpful people and here they make excellent Parmesan cuisine... but also mountain cuisine, here you can start with cheeses and cured meats up to tortelli and main courses and it is all good quality with generous portions. At the end of lunch you can take a nice walk in the park which helps digestion. ”

“ We stopped for lunch on a Sunday after a trail run on Mount Fuso. We hadn't booked and it was late, but they seated us and served us. The cuisine is meat-based. Very good first courses. I recommend booking on the weekend and taking a walk in the adjacent wildlife park where you can see deer. ”
